New to the CESCR Community?
Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Join us as we strengthen human rights advocacy and community action.
What to Expect
Here’s what you can expect when you join the CESCR Community Platform for the first time.
Orientation Sessions
New members are invited to brief orientation sessions introducing the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), our community structure, and how to participate in discussions and reporting.
Engagement Approach
Our sessions are interactive and inclusive — combining expert insights, local experiences, and collective analysis on key rights issues. You’ll collaborate with advocates, researchers, and community members across regions.
Learning and Collaboration
You’ll access resources on CESCR processes, case studies, and local reporting practices. Discussions emphasize practical advocacy tools, data sharing, and collective strategies for social and economic rights.
Participation Etiquette
Our community values respect, inclusion, and openness. Whether you’re joining an online session or an in-person consultation, you’re welcome to participate in a way that’s comfortable for you — formal or informal.
What matters most is your contribution, not appearance or background. Come as you are — your perspective, experience, and voice are what strengthen our collective advocacy for economic, social and cultural rights.
