Our Mission in the Community
Our Community Engagement program works to advance economic, social, and cultural rights at the local level. We provide practical support, organize advocacy initiatives, and empower communities to participate in reporting and engagement with the UN CESCR process.
Current Programs
Community Resource Hub
When: Every Saturday, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
What: Provide access to essential resources, including food, hygiene, and educational materials
How to Help:
- Volunteer to distribute resources
- Donate essential supplies
- Support coordination and logistics
Skills & Knowledge Workshops
When: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 2:00 PM
What: Free workshops on rights awareness, community organizing, and advocacy
Who: Open to anyone in the local community
How to Help:
- Volunteer as a workshop facilitator
- Provide educational materials
- Assist in workshop setup and coordination
Clothing & Essentials Drive
When: First Saturday of each month, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
What: Collect and distribute clothing, school supplies, and other essentials
How to Help:
- Donate gently used or new items
- Assist with sorting and distribution
- Provide guidance and support to recipients
Senior & Vulnerable Support
What: Regular visits and assistance to elderly and vulnerable community members
Services:
- Grocery shopping and essential errands
- Light household assistance
- Companionship visits
- Support with attending appointments or community programs
Seasonal Initiatives
Back-to-School Program
- Provide school supplies and educational materials to local students
- Support access to backpacks, uniforms, and learning resources
- Collaborate with local schools and community groups
Holiday Support Drives
- Provide complete food and essential packages to families in need
- Organize gift and clothing drives for children and elderly members
- Partner with local organizations for distribution
Winter Aid Program
- Collect and distribute warm clothing and blankets
- Focus on vulnerable populations including children, elderly, and low-income families
- Collaborate with local shelters and community centers
